Or any other gaming system? I was thinking about getting one for my daughter for christmas but thought I would ask around and see how other kids liked it or if there was a better one.

Thank you~

I work in a K-3 school, and the kids at every level LOVE the Leapsters! We have them for our special needs students too. I think they are great for occuping a child's time in an educational way. Our behavior students get to use them as a reward. I would suggest getting one.

I bought a Leapster shortly after my daughter turned 4. I think it's very cool- got the disney princess game and a Leap Kindergarten game. She played with it 2-3 times but could care less about it- would rather play with poly pockets, barbies, puzzles, crayons. I am saving it in the hopes she will rediscover it sometime. It was useful to have at the doctor's office waiting room that didn't have other toys but she never seeks it out at home to play with.

I bought a Leap Frog Leap Pad for my son when he was at that age and he loved it! He still uses it some now and he's 6 almost 7. Plus his little brother who is 22 months old loves to listen and play with it as well.

My 4 year old has a LeapFrog Leap Pad....he is just starting to get into it. He's been very interested in letters and how they sound and look. It is a great tool for teaching the basics of reading to a pre-school age child.

My little boy is 4 1/2 and he got one last christmas. I sat with him and tried to explain how to use it but wasn't too interested. Now he is a little older it is his fav thing and I would really advise that you get one, it is teaching my little boy so much and he enjoys the praise that he recieves from the leap pad when he gets the answer right. Have fun xx

I bought my kids the V-Tech game system last year. My kids still love it. I paid 35.00 for it and 10 dollars for game. I am not going to buy the new one that is out this year. I think its about the same as what I bought last year.
