I wear socks and sneakers in the house so my feet don't get too cold but even then, by bedtime my feet are ice-cold. My fingers also tend to get very cold and dry. I take hot showers before going to bed, but still feel cold. It's driving me (and my husband) crazy! I'm afraid of next month's heat bill!! Help please, anyone?

don't worry - everyone's circulation is different - you're not a freak! i feel the cold, too. there are lots of things you can do. first, just check with your doctor to make sure everything's ok which i'm sure it will be.
sounds like you have some blocked energy - if you try yoga or tai chi - these are absolutely brilliant things for getting the energy flowing through your body again - yoga works with the breath and this can really get the heat flowing - ask a yoga teacher about fire-breathing. chi is the chinese word for energy and tai chi gets it moving evenly around your body and releases blocks. if you're open, get someone to work with your chakras and get them all spinning properly too.
as for the dry skin, i recommend cocoa butter - some deep breathing and cocoa butter massaging of feet and hands (hubby can help!) will get your heat up.
other things to raise your temperature are exercise, hot baths and ... sex! (hubby can help with this too!) good luck!

Well, a very commen problem with these symptoms is poor circulation. Have you ever told your Dr about you being cold most of the time? If not I would bring it up.

They have things for people that Ski called Hot pockets... they are little bean bags that when you open the package.. they get warm. That may help keep you warm or try some of those heat pads that are self stick. As you also know layers help too. Try getting a small electric blanket and put it on your side of the bed and turn it on 30 min before you go to bed. Take a shower then put on some lotion or they have a light baby oil mist and hop right into bed.

Hope this helps

A few things might be wrong. Have your TSH checked. It's a thyroid hormone that if messed up won't let you sleep. Also get checked for anemia. Anemics are usually tired and cold due to lack of iron.

You should be checked medically for 2 possibilities...1) poor circulation...if blood is slow or not reaching extremities, you would certainly be cold and may even notice some bluish tone to your skin and nails 2) anemia...if your red blood count is low, you may need iron tablets and a diet high in iron. This can cause fatigue as well as feeling cold all of the time

I'm the same way and the doctor said that I'm not getting enough calories during the day. Are you on a diet? My doctor said for a woman's body to keep it's temperature up and to function properly you need to be consuming at least 2,000 calories (assuming that you are active) and if you're very active, 2400 calories. Try adding a few healthy calories here and there throughout your day (such as a banana, piece of whole grain bread with honey etc.) and see if it helps. It helped me.

You might want to talk to you doctor and have him/her check you over. You could be anemic... it's easy to be a little low in the iron department, and it can make you feel a little chilly. It's a more remote chance, but diabetes can hinder your circulation, which would cause your fingers and toes to get cold. Or, maybe it's just the fact that you're a woman, and we never seem to be able to get warm enough (unless we're pregnant).

you could be anemic and your iron is low that will cause you to be cold. or you could have a thyroid problem which can also make you cold all the time.

Either way see a doctor.

Go see your doctor and tell him or her these things. It could be anemia and which case you need meds. or it could be poor circulation, if that's the case you need to find out why,Or it could be your thyroid and that requires meds. Are you diabetic?

Really what i,m telling you is that you really need to tell your doctor. Do you have low blood preasure?--Again see your doctor.
