These are nonnegotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. This list is derived from the official Statement of Fundamental Truths.
WE BELIEVE...The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
WE BELIEVE...There is only One True God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).
WE BELIEVE...In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine.
WE BELIEVE...though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.
WE BELIEVE...Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through 'Salvation' (accepting Christ's offer of forgiveness for sin). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]
WE BELIEVE...and practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.
WE BELIEVE...the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]
WE BELIEVE... The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.
WE BELIEVE...Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.
WE BELIEVE...The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the Church' is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
WE BELIEVE...A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church.
WE BELIEVE...Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]
WE BELIEVE...in The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]
WE BELIEVE...in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.
WE BELIEVE...A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.
WE BELIEVE...and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. 'And so shall we forever be with the Lord!'
Please allow her to attend any Bible believing church. The freedom of "moving about" is a wonderful way for her to build her passion for God. Passion leads to fruitful living. Become interested in what she's learned. Help her in any way possible.
Encourage her to do what God wills.

they are Pentecostal non secular enthusiasts who roll around on the floor spouting gibberish. All that on an identical time as the pastor broadcasts from the pulpit that maximum Christians at the instant are not "real" Christians and homosexuality is a call. I attended an assembly of God church for over a 365 days. The adventure left working far off from God. He would not permit me bypass although. in case you have any brains in any respect those people will bypass away you indignant too.

I use to attend an Assembly of God church. They have a praise and worship that can be very attractive especially to younger people. It is important for your daughter to know the church doctrine and make sure it is correct according to Gods word.
I know of the the trouble I had in attendance of that church. It could have been the pastor (since I left he was kicked out of the church and can no longer be a pastor) or both the doctrine and the pastor.
I no longer belong to any denomination, but I do like to attend the Baptist church. Knowing that the praise and worship is so attractive in the Assembly of God church both my older children are in youth and are in the Sunday worship team.
I don't know if that helps but it is what I know.

There are thousands of Pentecostals. They are good people. They are not a cult. Several good people I know are good Pentecostals.
You can get "fanatics" in any denomination. Baptists can be harsh. The Word of God is harsh. If anyone thinks Jesus walked around passing out candy bars and snow-cones, they better RE-think it. Only your bleeding heart spineless pacifists do this.
She just found somewhere that she likes, for the time being. I wouldn't worry about it.
Be thankful, she is going anywhere.

They're a sort of pentecostal cult I've met some people and they seemed pretty judgemental but they were good people theyre basic beliefs are
The inspiration of Scripture.
The Trinity.
the Deity of Christ.
Original sin.
Fellowship with God can be restored by accepting Christ’s offer of forgiveness for sin.
Two ordinances: Baptism, by immersion after receiving Christ, and the Lord's Supper, as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit following conversion.
Speaking in Tongues as the evidence of Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Sanctification is a declaration and progressive lifelong process.
The Church's mission is to seek and save all who are lost in sin; the Church is the Body of Christ and consists of all people who accept Christ, regardless of Christian denomination.
Divinely called and Scripturally-ordained ministers serve the Church.
Divine healing of the sick is provided for in the atonement.
The Blessed Hope: a Rapture preceeding the bodily return of Christ to Earth.
Premillenial eschatology.
Final Judgement and eternal damnation of the lost.
A future New Heaven and New Earth, in which Christ will dwell with his people forever.
They are the people who believe they have recieved the holy spirit and dance around and have fits like they are possesed.
I'm not sure about them... Since I'm catholic and she rejects catholicsm maybe she rejects the roman rite how bout try the Charismatic Rite which is more like pentecostals less cultist but still connected to the vatican .... I wouldn't recommend them because i feel they are all scary but this is a closer belief to the ones of pentecostal..

What you should do is what my mother and father did for me.
They told me that I should attend as many churches as possible before making up my mind on which one I wanted to attend on a regular basis.
As for me, the Assembly of God is far too political for a church. They have stopped following the Gericho road, and are now marching the campaign trail.
Try the United Methodists. They are truly following the teachings of Christ.

i grew up with this church and still attend....assembly of god is Pentecostal,[close to being a baptist] and they are more open in church, they sing and clap their hands, and it is inspiring to many that attend.....
i understand you prefer your daughter to choose what is more comfortable to you... to ease your concern, why not visit this church a couple times with her and decide after you have been there a few times.....

The Church and it's practices are much the same as any Christian Church. They teach their interpretation of the Bible and believe in using fear as a means of control. Their way is, "The only true way to heaven"...just like every Christian Church I've ever been to, but if you believe in your child's ability to decide for her self, then let her go and learn what it is she wants to learn, and talk openly to her about your feelings on what she's learning.
