Why are you all so ignorant as to believe that illegals are being supported by your 'tax' money? You all keep saying that your tax money pays for the illegals and their education and their hospital bills. If you are not a resident, you cannot get Financial Aid if you wish to continue your education. You must pay cash. HOW ARE YOU PAYING FOR THEIR EDUCATION? Hospitals... wow lets not even get started with that one! HOW many WHITE American families are out there that do not have insurance? Im Mexican, should I be upset because my money is helping a poor white female have her baby? YOU need to start getting upset because your money is going to all the murderers and rapists and thiefs being housed in prisons. It's going to all the teachers that molest children. Illegals pay taxes but do not file their returns. The government takes all that money. Must be so hard on all of you knowing that a Mexican can cut grass, have 3 kids and still be happy and comfortable with their lives.

When you say you all, you go to place that you don't belong. I am in agreement with 90% of what you say, the other 10% we could probably agree on over a beer.

The problem with thinking as you do, you assume that everyone thinks the same. Believe me, there is a silent majority. You can't win the fight when politicians make it appear the way you described it. You can win by voting for common sense.

I live in the South West and can tell you for sure that the minute men did not start out having a political agenda. They were a few ranchers and land owners who wanted people to quit trespassing. It's a big deal only because it's a cause. There are not millions of illegals screwing up our economy, we do that all by ourselves but, illegals make a good excuse!

Oh, forgot to mention, I am not Mexican.

You have answered some of your own questions. If they are not filing returns for one thing that is illegal. Why should you get any benefits from our government when you do not want to be legal? A lot of us paid for our own education also, a lot cannot afford insurance, but, they are here legally and therefore they get the benefits of being here legally. As you can see, I work in the medical field. I bring patients to the hospital ER's. Every one that we go to is 90% Latino sitting in the waiting rooms. They go there and it puts a burden on the staff that should be dealing with real emergent cases, but because they don't have insurance they can't go to the clinics. Now, if they would just follow the laws and become legal citizens, they could have insurance, they could have a chance at a better education just like we do. Heard a story about an ER in Houston, Texas, the INS had someone they had in custody that became sick and walked in the ER with them and the waiting room in the ER all but emptied. Maybe we should put one INS agent in every ER and have them at the registration desk to check on the documents and have the ones that are ILLEGAL treated and taken into custody for deportation. hmmmm

My social security # was being used to claim welfare when I was a child. That made a lot of problems for me when I filed for my work permit. I guess taxes don't go toward people who receive welfare? Any illegal can steal a social security number...
A lot of those murderers and rapists in prison are illegals.
Hospitals cannot bill a person with a false identity and no address. And no, they don't have to pay upfront in cash. They cannot refuse service to anyone. Even someone with no insurance or money.
If they pay taxes it's on a social security number that they stole.

I could go on and on...and on. But the majority of people here already know that you are full of sh*t.

As per some of the other anwsers above, the tax was ratified by congress. As for people who have won tax cases based on this claim. No one has won a case on the consitutional grounds. There have been some intersesting cases where a person pleaded not guilty on the grounds that they BELIEVED they didn't have to pay taxes. Since the criminal laws relating to income taxes generally require that you knowing fail perform a legal duty. These cases, however, fail all the time, since most juries see though the pretense. In this case common sense should tell you that if someone could have beaten it, they would have, and every person and corporation would know of it.

All these morons that are posting illegal expenses do not know that these statistics are based on the number of illegal immigrants multiplied by the same amount that it takes for ANY FAMILY LEGAL OR NO. what they do not say is that illegal immigrants contribute more (in an average) in taxes to pull their own weight than the average and typical white low income family.

Kindergarten through 12th grade education in California costs $10,000 to educate a single child for a single year. Moreover, since our money has to stretch to cover the children of illegals, our own children's education is being ruined in overcrowded, underfunded schools, where a disproportionate amount of the money is spent on ESL programs.

You worry about the murderers and rapists, a disproportionate amount of whom, again, are illegal immigrants. I'm worried about my children's education.

You shouldn't be upset to help pay for her because she is a legal citizen and deserves to get help in her native country. I'm not upset about paying for criminals because I'm helping to keep them out of society. I'm angry about paying for illegals' benefits because I could instead be helping to pay for scouring them from our country, but I have virtually no voice in the appropriation of my money. The only murderers and rapists I don't want to pay to keep in prison are the illegal immigrants that commit those crimes. And there are a lot of them. It costs so much less to ship them out than to hold them in rooms and feed them.
