A week ago I dyed my hair caramel brown with a permanant dye. Im dissapointed with the colour which is not very intense, even though I left it on for the maximum time, and its now very dry and dull. How can I improve the colour / condition?

Put in some kind of hot oil treatment. If you dont like the color in another week add some highlights. Usually color settles in a couple of weeks

There are several shampoos available on the market that you can try. They normally help really well and are made especially for this. But pls do not use Pantene as I did that and the whole colour just faded (even though it was permanent). You can also try using conditioner for dyed hair, or using a hair mask (Gliss has a great one). Good luck!

This has happened to me at times after colouring. Usually getting the dry ends cut off my hair will revive it a bit, as well as a lot of deep conditioning. I just slap some hair conditioner on my wet hair and put on a plastic shower cap ( I keep those ones they give you at hotels) and hang about the house on my day off. That makes my hair feel much better and look a lot shinier.

Well, I don't know about colour. But the condition can be helped by going to Sally's Beauty supply store and buying something called SilkElements. It's a leave in conditioner in an oval tub. Great, great stuff.

crack a couple of eggs over your head.. not kidding. it's a great, cheap, at home treatment that works great!!!
if you're not into that i like aussies 3 minute miralce a lot better than vo5..
also, be sure you are using a shampoo for color treated hair. it helps keep the color a little bit more vibrant, but once the dye has done it's job there is no way to improve it..

if you dye your hair again, switch to a level 2, semi-permanant color (Natural Instincts or L'Oreal ColorSpa) - it isn't going to be as dramatic of a color change, but it is much less damaging.
