God could have picked any woman...

No - we would not have Jesus without the Holy Spirit impregnating a virgin. Mary was a virgin until she gave birth to Jesus - then she had more children with Joseph. She was a special person as she was the mother of Jesus - but do not put her above Jesus.

To question God's will is blasphemy. Mary meant nothing. Jesus was to be birthed on this earth by a pure woman.

well of course! if Brahma emerged from Vishnu's navel on a giant lotus flower certainly Yahweh would've come up with a similar solution if there was a lack of holy virgins to impregnate.

Yes, God's plan would have gone forward with someone else if Mary had said no. She had free will like the rest of us.

Perhaps not at that particular time frame as GOD has HIS plans unknown to us but if HE had decided on a different time frame there would have been another chosen.

would we ever have the "blessed virgin" without her mother? and her mother without her mother (and fathers). so in reality none of us would be here if god didnt create us. why are u emphasizing ONE person for gods creation? shouldnt u pray to god who CREATED that person who gave life to... god...?

Mary was nice and all, and I am sure that she holds a special place in the Lord's heart. But why so much emphasis on her?
