I find that there are people who have the courage in life to treat others decently
I find that there are people who lack some of this courage, so they hide behind negativity
Then I find that there are those who are so cowardly, that they have no other means of receiving attention than to annoy people annonymously online
Are they to be viewed as sad? How awful their lives must be that this is the only way for them to receive attention?
Or are they to be viewed as pathetic? What losers they must be! What cowards!

I think it is as you describe. Many hide their insecurities behind hostility and negativity.

I don't comply with the turn the other cheek phenomenon. Once someone does me foul, it's open season. Real life especially, also internet dealings.
I am a very amicable person. I just won't be anybody's fool. If that's pathetic, so be it.
I was fool enough to think a innocent looking Muslim girl in full drape couldn't possibly be armed. I played the fool. I got cut that night and lost nearly an entire pint of blood, got 20+ stitches and I have a six inch scar that reminds me everyday never to underestimate anybody, and always be suspect.
Decent is one thing, just don't let it lead you into being a fool.

You have to keep a sense of humor, in all your dealings in life, but especially on the internet.
You are totally right, of course. It takes courage to treat others decently.

Perhaps there are days when I feel a bit "saucy" and enjoy pushing buttons. It's so easy to do in this particular category!
The good thing is that I hold myself to my own standards and don't concern myself too much with the opinions here.

We are all immature one way or another. We constantly judge others as if we were better than them. So, that makes you no better than the ones that you talk about. Ever hear of tolerance?

perhaps but we who are tolerant must be tolerant of those who are not. perhaps if these negative people keep coming here there are those positive folks here who will help aid and assist them into finding a direction for their lives
