All three of my kids have developed ringworm on their scalp. I am using an anti fungal cream on them, but without shaving their heads it is hard to get to. Any ideas?

I took them to the Dr already. The Rx is $100 PER KID and my job doesn't have any insurance. I already spent $240 at the doctors ofc. Thanks for the input.

Get clotrimazole cream. It's AMAZING! I had ringworm on my hand one time, and it was gone in about a week.

I guess since you don't want to shave their heads (especially if they're girls!)...you'd have to apply the cream VERY liberally.

Keep ALL of them home from school, because ringworm IS contagious!!!! That's probably how all three of them got it!

Keep them isolated..and apply Clotrimazole 2-3 times a day.

Make sure not to get something like hydrocortizone or something like that. Things with steroids in them increase itching!!!!

Fast Ringworm Cure?

they need to be kept out of school. they are highly contagious. the school nurse won't let them come back anyway. creams do not work. ringworm does not respond to cream. it has to be cured internally.they have to get a prescription.

Go to your doctor. The over the counter creams are not always effective on tinea capitis and delaying proper treatment may allow the infection to spread.

Why haven't you taken thing to the doctor yet? Not one, not two, but all three of your kids have it. Get moving.

I just asked my mom & she said "take them to a doc." U can always go to http://www.webmd.com & see what they have to say. Maybe there's a special shampoo the doc can prescribe 4 u. Good luck!
