i was on the bus today with my mam/mom, and i was sitting silently, and a thought came into my mind asking godto show me his love, and then a few minutes later, i felt so calm and relaxed and so happy, it didnt stay with me for a long time though.
what does this mean, was it all in my mind, or have other christians/religious people felt this

Yes, it happens to many people, including me.
You are right to question yourself for what is called "spiritual delusion", though. Equally many people live religious feelings that happen strictly in their mind. It's difficult to tell the difference, even for spiritually experienced people.
In you case, I would say it was probably a gift from God. But don't take my word for it. Ask God if that was truly from Him. He likes people who don't want to be spiritually deceived.

The feeling of belonging and having a place in this vast universe gives everyone a feeling of bliss. I think everyone experiences that sensation at some point in their life because I believe we do all belong to an infinite source of power, whatever and whoever you chose to call that source.
If we didn't have a place in the universe, we wouldn't be here. Magnificent feeling of belonging. Meditation will bring it back again if you like that feeling of euphoria and unearthly magnitude.

No seriously, feeling connected to the universe is the highest kind of love and it really does create bliss. Many people experience this sensation and it really is a great source of power.

i pray to God everyday, sometimes i feel something other times i don't. Sinning and stuff like that drive the feeling of God away. It could have been all in your mind. It could have been God trying to reach you. If you want to keep that feeling try talking to someone you know that knows about christianity. If you get closer to God you might feel a difference, your life could change for the better.

First of all, God's love is already shown: through the death of Jesus Christ our Lord.

What you felt was the presence of The Holy Spirit in your body.
God was probably trying to show that his love was already evident in that he gave us the Holy Spirit when Jesus left this earth.
I get that feeling many times, but only when I am totally humble in God's presence. It only lasts for a short time, but it is more of a confirmation of His presence.
Beware! When you do things for the will of God, Satan will give you an opposite feeling, depression, anxiety, sleepiness. Have faith in the Lord, and this shall pass.

That is what you can't explain to people who have never experienced God. They will tell you it is the power of the mind etc. but you KNOW what you felt . I have had a similar experience and I know it was God.

I get this while in my sports car doing donuts on the school field and flicking V's at the local police.
It is probably a transport thing and more to do with what people smoke on buses than any off world intervention by an omnipitent being.

Yes, that has happened to me many times and no its not all in your mind because that feeling is real and thats God it says in the Bible what you ask that shall you recieve and you asked to feel Gods love and thats what you recieved and did hear you and he loves you and cares and that is the best feeling in the WHOLE WORLD!!!!!
