I have a question for people who believe in God. The Bible was written by a bunch of different people over a long period of time. Allah supposedly spoke to their profit M for (I think) 23 years. Why is it that God takes so long to tell people stuff? If "it" is all powerful, why wouldn't "it" not simply imbibe his prophetts with all the knowledge he wanted to convey instantly?

If there were such a being -- not the silly tribal Yahweh or Allah, but an entity capable of creating the entire Universe by an act of will -- full contact with it/him would burn out a human brain like connecting a flashlight bulb to a high-tension line.
More important, if he/it wanted to convey knowledge to prophets, why did she give them so much wrong or nonsensical data?

I think the biggest reason is because each prophet was talking to a different audience, at a different point in time. God couldn't tell someone to go talk to the Ninevites 1,000 years before they were acting up. Instead, he waited until they acted up, and sent Jonah there at the right time. It's all about timing my friend.

I am tending to believe that most people's understanding of God/the gods, is somewhat lacking. I am under the impression that all of the gods are highly advanced extraterrestrial beings, some of the most advanced beings in our galaxy. This includes Allah, Yahweh, Jesus, the Hindu gods, etc., and yes they all do fly in spaceships.
