The main ingredient is gloucosamine. Can anyone recommend something over the counter that is good for dogs with arthritis? The perscription from the vet is 90 dollars a month. With a new baby on the way that is too expensive. thank you.

I work for an herbal supplement company and my customers swear and live by DGP, Dog Gone Pain. They say their dogs are more active while taking and they have the same issues as yours.

Unfortunately, owning a pet is expensive. Believe me, I know. My cat got bit in the paw by some animal outside last week and he cost me $237.00!
You really should get the prescription so your poor dog won't continue to be in pain. Is there any way you could do this (like maybe cut back on other things)? They do have pet medical insurance out there, maybe that could offset the expense so it can be more affordable?
If I were you, I'd ask the vet for his recommendation, this way, you will ensure that whatever you buy over-the-counter- will not only be safe for your dog but you'll also get the correct dosage and strength.
Good luck, and congrats on the baby. :)

First try to find the medicine from one of the online dog medicine sites.
Second if it is still to expensive as the doctor if there is a different cheaper medicine that could be used.
