Depends on the type of lung cancer. Small cell lung cancer is considered the most serious.
Depends on whether the lung cancer is the original site or if it has spread from the lungs from another place. For example, if someone develops lung cancer and they've never smoked, the doctors might look at other parts of their body to see if the lungs were a secondary site......but there are some people who develop lung cancer as a primary cancer who never smoked.
If someone develops lung cancer and they have been a smoker for most of their life, it isn't like someone didn't warn them......but I do have a lot of sympathy for someone who has never smoked who develops it.
Get a good doctor and keep a fighting attitude and fight comfort in prayer.

It depends on the time the sickness was diagnoses. Early diagnosis can lead to recovery, but the changes are diminishing as time passes.
See article on Lung Cancer in Wikipedia: Treatment for lung cancer depends on the cancer's specific cell type, how far it has spread, and the patient's performance status. Common treatments include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.
I wish you all the best!
