when it is empty it appears larger but when you furnish it if you place a wall mirror on the opposite side of a window it appears larger

If you know how to furnish then it will appear as large...let's say...if you put some furniture that is tall and goes up to the ceiling it might appear larger...

You would think it would be when it is empty but it's not. If it is furnished (BUT NOT CLUTTERED!) it actually looks larger.

When realtors show houses, they sometimes have just a few pieces of furniture in it so people can see that theirs would fit.
Everyone can't look at a place and think, oh yeah, my stuff will work in here.

depends on the scale and color of furniture, use less furniture, and bright colors, wood floor in a light color can make an apartment look larger also

when its empty cause you start thinking i can put this here that there but what you're actually doing is making your furniture smaller and forcing it (in your mind) to fit where you want it.
