TO THE VIRGINS, TO MAKE MUCH OF TIME
by Robert Herrick

GATHER ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old time is still a-flying :
And this same flower that smiles to-day
To-morrow will be dying.

The glorious lamp of heaven, the sun,
The higher he's a-getting,
The sooner will his race be run,
And nearer he's to setting.

That age is best which is the first,
When youth and blood are warmer ;
But being spent, the worse, and worst
Times still succeed the former.

Then be not coy, but use your time,
And while ye may go marry :
For having lost but once your prime
You may for ever tarry.

OR
Shakespeare's Sonnet (#85, I believe)

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

But I recommend the first.

How long have you known this girl? You met her on Vacation? That sounds fun. I would talk to your parents before you go spending hundreds of dollars. Does she feel the same way. Can you see her as your wife? These are just some of the things I would think about. If you really want to show her how much you love her Buy her a big teddy bear (and I mean a big one) and some romantic Cd's and send her a hand written note from the heart. You could tell her that the music and the teddy bear are for her at night when she misses you and wishes she could cuddle with you. Girls love that touchy feely stuff!! Send her a hand written note that she can read over and over again. Girls do that kind of stuff. Tell her how you feel about her. What you want in the future. What you like about her. How much you are falling in love with her. Send her a little something special every month. How old are you anyway? How fun new love! It's the best feeling in the world. I am happy for you! Jenness

When everything is wrong I'll come talk to you
You make things alright when I'm feeling blue

You are such a blessing and I wont be messing
with the one thing that brings light to all of my darkness

You're my best friend
and I love you, and I love you
Yes I do

There is no other one that can take your place
I feel happy inside when I see your face
I hope you believe me
Because I speak sincerely
and I mean it when I tell you I need you

You're my best friend
and I love you, and I love you
Yes I do

I'm here right beside you
I will never leave you
and I feel the pain you feel when you start crying

You're my best friend
and I love you, and I love you
Yes I do

You're my best friend
and I love you, and I love you
Yes I do
Yes I do...
Yes I do

The cutest poem would be one written by you telling her specific things you love about her ,or particular good times you had together and how much that meant to you. Make it personal, sweet, and sincere...she'll love it!

The Passionate Shepherd to His Love
by: Christopher Marlowe

Come live with me and be my love,
And we will all the pleasures prove
That valleys, groves, hills, and fields,
Woods or steepy mountain yields.

And we will sit upon the rocks,
Seeing the shepherds feed their flocks,
By shallow rivers to whose falls
Melodious birds sing madrigals.

And I will make thee beds of roses
And a thousand fragrant posies,
A cap of flowers, and a kirtle
Embroidered all with leaves of myrtle;

A gown made of the finest wool
Which from our pretty lambs we pull;
Fair lined slippers for the cold,
With buckles of the purest gold;

A belt of straw and ivy buds,
With coral clasps and amber studs:
And if these pleasures may thee move,
Come live with me and be my love.

The shepherds' swains shall dance and sing
For thy delight each May morning:
If these delights thy mind may move,
Then live with me and be my love.

One that YOU write. You can always use references. But I would try and keep it simple. Try and lok at some Shell Silverstein works-(very cute and funny). But definitely make it your own...It will mean a lot much more.
