coddled is not to be confused with cuddled..most think its the same. it is not

to coddle means to treat tenderly or pamper...if a mother continues to coddle her child in the later years ppl generally suspect thechild is being spoiled...

but! wait..you may mean that this 'kid sister' needs to be cooked to right below the boiling point...hopefully not but it IS a defininition of coddling!

Coddled means taken care of and babied, like someone who acts as though they can't take care of themselves then someone has to do things for them and take care of them. By the way, ever heard of Webster's Dictionary??

It means mothering, over-loving, constant attention, favoritism, etc...Another name is molly-coddling...

It means spoiled, pampered, babied. It's not a good idea, however, because it could lead to her "needing" that kind of treatment all her life.
