I don't have the vaguest idea about this, but here goes...
I'm interested in becoming an FBI profiler, but I'm a South African citizen, who immigrated to Canada about two months ago (and I'll soon become a Canadian citizen).
What do I need in high school to study profiling, can I become a profiler, and is it worth it?
I'd really appreciate it if someone who knew a profiler personally could answer this, or a profiler would be even better, though I doubt that they go onto this site a lot.
Thank you.

And if you're bloody well planning on trying to insult me like the Larry moron on answer number 2 just did, consider this, he is too piss scared to leave himself available for me to tear apart limb from limb on his personal Q & A, because he has no email address.

In high school just graduate, you will need at least Masters degree in psychology and have a very "stange" mental way of thinking. I

So basicly finish high school, have fun and keep your grades up. Then go to college and then finish a masters degree.

To be a profiler you would need

A lot of statistis courses - Math better be good

You need at least an MA in Pschology proably a PHD- clinical not social both would be good - say a minor in social psch

Now you need some law enforcement courses and to join the police force ......

I hope if you are going to soon be a Canadian that you work for the RCMP or CSIS (Canadian secret inteligence service)

It would be disgusting of you to go to our subsidised University's only to work in the US for the FBI

If your heart is set on working for the FBI go to school and pay full price in the US of A

No... Hopefully, they wouldn't waste their time profiling me because it's quite obvious within two minutes of meeting me that I'm a cool dude, no worries... I believe in love, and compassion, and generosity, and not judging people (unless you become a judge through proper judicial procedures) and minding your own business. "Looking Suspicious" is not against the law, thank goodness, because looks can be very deceiving. In this country you are innocent until "proven" guilty. It's not "You're Guilty because somebody doesn't like your graveyard shift waking hour activities..." Just because somebody steps outside routinely to smoke a cig at 3:00 am doesn't make them a criminal. It's makes them an insomniac. I come and go during the wee hours of the morning, but I'm one of the nicest and most trust-worthy guys you're ever likely to encounter on this planet...

I couldn't find info on Google but I think I recall John Douglass of the FBI stating that he spent years perfecting his between the legs muscle tightening skills and credits that unrelenting effort with his enormous success in the bureau. So apparently that is one mandatory skill for any aspiring profiler. Also I am fairly certain that attractive healthy nails and hair are required as well. Work studiously on those things and you should be catching serial killers and all types of sociopaths in no time!!!

if this is something that interests you go online yahoo or google it! and see what comes up! or go to the library and see what you need to pursue this. You may find out that this is or isn't for you but it's worth checking out your options. good luck in whatever you chose!

sounds like you have no aptitude for this type of work so dont waste your time or anyone elses. this is vital and creative, abstract work for talented people to capture criminals and predators.

sorry, didnt mean to be so harsh. perhaps you can use your profiling aptitude to find my email address that everyone else seems to be able to find.
