You bet! It gives them motivation to keep up the good work. We wouldn't continue to work if we didn't get a pay check. Same concept.

Absolutely. The way we do it is each A they receive they get $2 and every B is $1 nothing for C's and if they get a D they owe us $5 and every F they owe us $10. Honor roll for the quarter gets them $10 plus the allotted amount for each grade and if they stay on the honor roll all year they get $50. I want to encourage them to do well in school as an education is very important but at the same time I want them to learn the consequences of not doing their best. My oldest is a freshman this year and has been on the A honor roll since she was old enough to be eligible for it. The thought of loosing their allowance to pay us for bad grades works real well keeping them motivated. Just don't forget to praise them with an extra hug and good job as well.

I don't think kids should be rewarded for being on the honor roll. This is because I think that you should expect them to get good grades. Reward them with a pat on the back.

C. timid (I did seek for the words.) 3.Do you... ugh, nevermind. A. sure (What became the element of this?) 4. Do you're taking naps or craps at paintings? D. neither naps nor craps (yet I do take naps at college.) 5. whats up, wait. How does that track pass lower back? I overlook. this is a few thing like... "Sittin' on the dock of the bay..." B. speaking on a cellular telephone, typing some uselss crap into my iTouch, ingesting an coffee frappachino latte with whipped cream (is this a genuine track?) This became style of pointless.

No, why should he be rewared for something he should be doing anyway. Did you get rewared for good grades when you were going to school??? I know I didn't. I was just expected to get good grades. What is so wrong with a high 5 and a kiss and a hug.
To many parents these days think they have to reward kids for everything they do. It isn't right. Stop doing it!

Definately, as long as he doesn't let the video games get out of hand; but I think it's good for a child to have goals they have to reach for. My daughter is also a very good student, but at times has difficulty with getting her letters and numbers backwards. We've told her that she will have to do a few extra chores each time she comes home with her letters backwards; but if she gets them all correct for at least one month, she'll get a new Barbie. She's been improving tremendously.

Absolutely!!! We do this with both of our kids. Hard work deserves rewards and it will motivate him to continue to work hard and ultimately set him up for success in life.
Don't forget a hug, a pat on the back and praise!

I think is it a very good idea. I was rewarded when I was growing up and it made me strive to do even better. It even helped my older sister do better because she didn't want me looking better then her. Good job!!!!
