Most doctors give you anti-depressants and pain meds. I started feeling the symptoms at your age, and here I am at 25. They still wont give me an official diagnosis. So you're lucky that they caught it early. If you can do some mild exercise such as walking. If your muscles hurt badly and you have no meds...or they aren't working try this. 2 cups of apple cider vinegar in a hot bath. It sounds nasty but helps so much. One night I thought I was going to end up in the E.R. but took the bath. It saved me the trip. Email me about your meds. I'll give you some advice. Devil's Claw is a great COX 2 inhibitor. Much safer than most anti-inflammatorys. Eat lots of fruit and veggies, and lean protein. Fatty meats can cause inflammation. You take care of your self and email me if you've got anymore questions. ~Rosanne~

I have had this for 10 yrs now and I would recommend the "National Fibromyalgia Association" site http://www.fmaware.org/ to start with and you can also got to "Remedyfind.com" http://www.remedyfind.com where you can look up by illness and see the variety of treatments and opinions of people who have tried or taken various of medications.
One other you can try is "Wholehealthmed.com" http://www.wholehealthmed.com where you can see some foods that can health ease the Fatigue, Pain, "brain fog" and others.
Also do not give up. Its not only a up hill battle to try to ease your symptoms but unfortunately a lot of Dr's. STILL do not believe it exists. It can be so very stressful, which can make the symptoms worse.
Good Luck,

Try Googling it. There are several excellent websities out there with loads of info about treatment, adaptive stratagies, diet, exercise and so forth. Also, hit the medical section of your local library. There are a number of very good books on the subject. By the way, it's spelled "fibromyalgia".

Fibromyalgia is a broad term often used when doctors don't know what the hell is wrong. It could be caused by so many things. Mostly, it is just chronic pain.
