Every sin has a consequence. Most affect the sinner but sins against others not only hurt the sinner but the one you offended.

Thou shall not steal.....you have taken from someone what is rightfully theirs.
Thou shall not murder....the repercussion of that is obvious.

Here's the thing: the term "sin" is a relative thing. I don't believe that premarital sex is a sin, and I had sex with my wife before we were married. We've been together for over ten years now, married for more than seven.

She is my absolute soul mate, and I would like nothing more than to be with her for the rest of my life.

So did my "sin" create evil, or does it not even factor into the much larger picture of our compatibility and trust in each other? Should I go to Hell for being in a monogamous relationship?

On the other hand, if a Christian leader allows a doctor to be murdered in the name of God, can you explain how that is NOT a "sin?" If a Republican senator is caught molesting 12-year old boys after church, does his faith dictate that there is no wrongdoing if he "repents" for his crime?

It doesn't take religion to be a decent human being. Only weak people need to be forced into decency.

Of course, All sin effects someone else.
If you go get drunk alone,(Sin of Drunkenness) and then drive home and hit someone killing them. That ripple effects not just the person that you killed, But their children, spouse, mother, father, aunts, uncles, friends, brothers and sisters. And All your family as well. Lets say you made it home fine. Your sin still effected someone who loves you. God...
