When a man first meets an attractive single woman, why does....?

he almost always ask the question "Why are you single?" in an almost acusatory tone of voice?

What is the man assuming about you? Some men ask it as if their is something wrong with you beyond being attractive.

they just assume that if you are that beautiful, someone would surely have snatched you up by then. There must be SOMETHING wrong with you...yeah right. Men never think about the fact that SINCE we are so beautiful, we can afford to be really picky...and it takes a while to get a good one. Good catches like other good catches. And we are single in the meantime.

I think they do this cause first of all men are very intimidated by a beautiful woman and they have no clue what to say. I think truthfully this question means nothing to them they are just trying to compliment your beauty, and give the hint that they may be interested in you.Next time a guy asks you that tell him your single because you killed your last boyfrien. I bet it won't make a bit of difference,believe me. I don't think we women understand how hard it is for a man to get up the guts to approach us,and of course when they work up the nerve the first thing out of their mouth is stupid and meaningless.

I don't ask that, I ask whats she drinking or what can I do to get her alone to get to know her better? Normally I arrange a very non-formal date with her in the next couple of days at some coffee shop...then we go from there if we have something in common.

Because there's too many crazies out there. I never ask that question, I ask "you don't have a boyfriend or a husband or anything, right?" cuz one girl actually told me she didn't and she did have a boyfriend, they were living together and she had his kid. They think they are being flirtatious. They are expressing their interest in you by stating that you should be with someone because you are so wonderful. And possible gaging your response. If you say "because I hate men" then they will probably run away, LOL
