I think what your friends are calling different personalities are simply different moods. In many people these moods can be so strong as to seem to be entirely different people.

Dissociative disorder is a condition where people have totally different personalities, however these personalities are usually unaware of each other. Unless you are having blackouts, or are "losing time", or people say you did something and you have no memory of doing that thing, chances are you do not have dissociative disorder (this used to be called multiple personality disorder, but that term is not used any longer.)

It sounds to me like you have a rich fantasy life, and this is probably to escape from your real life. It's what's called a coping mechanism. Right now it's probably serving you well, and is useful to you to help you cope with what's going on in your real life.

At some point, though, you are going to have to live in the "real world", and that's when it will become obvious if your fantasy life is a benefit or a problem.

I think it would be a good idea for you to get counseling. If for some reason you can't go to a counselor, try talking to someone you trust. An older adult, a pastor or priest, a counselor at school, or an aunt or uncle you trust. Many counseling centers offer reduced rates for people who can't afford their full rates, and most insurance plans offer some type of coverage for counseling.

I think you just need someone to talk to right now who will listen and not judge you. Good luck!
