You can have them removed by a doctor or someone once t old me to cut a potato and put it on them for a day or two and they will fall right off.

Go and check out skin conditions on the net. A lot of times there are support groups for people with the same ailments. Perhaps talking to someone else in the same situation will shed some light on the problem. Beware of the phony cure all's. Research something before you apply anything to your skin. Talking to someone else with the same problem will make you feel better in the fact that at least you know you're not alone. All the best of luck to you and chin up. Looks aren't everything.

As far as I know, nobody knows why people get them. You can get rid of them safely only by having a doctor freeze them off (or surgically). You can't prevent them.

My solution may not be for everyone, but I cut them off myself with a small sharp cuticle scissors. Cleanse the area with antiseptic and cut as close the skin as possible. It does not hurt as much as you might think and I have removed many without having them come back.
