Always be kind and compassionate. Always be open to communication and genuine friendship and sharing values that mean the most to you.
People will respond to you in the same way you respond back. Those that don't are not part of our world .
Balancing our own needs with the needs of others works when you can be with those people in life that only want to share their lives and experiences and fun with you while growing as individuals with you.

As a woman, and also of the previous generation, I was "programmed" to put my needs after that of my loved ones and family. This is what is good for me, but maybe not everyone. This is a concept that I find seems to be lacking in the current generation at times.

I look at it this way. If you don't take care of yourself ..you can't really take care of anyone else. So one must find a balance. You can also be busy but not effective.

this is the same problem my dad faces... well when people ask for money my dad promptly gives it to them.. and that means that my dad is loaded and they will ask a lot... however, if u give but not promptly that will mean that u will be there... but not all the time... so in money dont give immediately... unless its dire...
