Hi how can i be proud of my pale skin. the thing is i am sick of being told that i am pale, and people asking me if im ok, which i am fine its just the way my skin is.But i found my self going and buying a sunbed which i will never use, and all these tanning moisturisers that im allergic to. I dont know how i can deal with people asking why im so pale, but i like the way i am so when they comment what can i say. ? I know when i have blonde hair people comment on how good i look but as soon as i go a shade darker they say im ill, i like having light brown hair but people cant help but pick at me.

I have had the same problem all of my life except that I am dark haired.
I used to say "Rather pale and interesting and alive than tanned and dying of skin cancer.
Do what feels right for you, lift your chin, smile, exude confidence and they will not notice your skin so much.

If your pale skin is REALLY pale you may be anemic, and that is something that needs to be addressed by your physician. If you are pale because you just don't spend much time in the sun, then that's fine. But that kind of paleness doesn't usually create questions or concerns from other people. When you are pale enough for others to be concerned--you are too pale and there may be an underlying serious medical condition. You could have a slow bleed going on inside, or a bad heart valve, or not enough iron in your blood. Anyhow, see a doctor before you get angry at anyone for being concerned about your appearance.
After your doctor clears you medically, and the comments continue, simply state that you aren't interested in getting skin cancer from excessive sun exposure.

I sympathise COMPLETELY. I too am pale, I feel your pain. I tend to use good make up that gives me a warmer complection so that I look a lot 'healthier'. What you got to think about is perspective! In countries like India, it is considered the best thing in the whole world to be pale, as it is a symbol that you don;t have to work outside. Out there, the darker your skin is,the more it shows you have to work in the open to maintain an existence.....so don't shy away from your english rose looks... embrace it! Or go live in India, where you will be worshipped!
Good makeup, such as benefit high beam, which turns a pale washed out look into a a rosy healthy glow. Wear warm coloured clothing like turquoise and hot pinky colours. Use bold eye make up to move some of the focus away. Ultimately you are beautiful the way you are, don't try and please other people and know that you are not alone! Use my tips, which I hope make you feel better :)

You should be proud of your color whatever it is but I can see that people asking would make you angry.
I am not pale but Bare Minerals make up makes my skin look great. They have a powder foundation product called Original Glo. Go on the website choose a free sample of one shade darker than your skin tone and you only pay for the shipping. You powder only a few grains on your skin and it makes it look bright and healthy. It doesn't change your color it will brighten your actual skin and make it look healthy. It looks very natural and subtle yet it will look great. Then it will make no difference what your skin colour is. A light brown should make your skin look healtheir if you put on a small amount of Bare Minerals Apple Blusher. The less you put on the better it looks don't overload your skin with colour make it look subtle and natural. Also it has nothing to do with people what your skin looks like. Let me guess its all the women who say this to you. I should know. All the women I know get started on by other women for their looks. They seem to notice that you have an invisible blemish on your cheek, that they can see one eyebrow out of place. It makes them feel better, who cares.

I have the same problem, except I'm VERY pale. What i do is to use those self-tanners, but only on my face. I usually only do it in the winter, b/c your wearing jeans, and coats, so no one can see your arm/legs/ ect. But if your allergic, then just be proud of your skin. I know that's your question, but pale skin makes you look very elegant and pretty. All those girls look the same with a tan. Stand out girl! Be happy, and thankful for what god gave you! Try putting attention on something else, like your eyes, lips, botty, whatever!
Good luck :)

Well that's a bit strange I would have thought when you are blonde blonde that you would look worse than when you are darker, depends on how dark go for a mid light/medium region. Example Nicole Kidman now hows that for pale, what people are used to these days are women walking around looking really brown or orange, all fake, just find a natural hair colour to match.

I feel the same way you do but I am not worried by what ppl say the best thing is to ignore it. . . I know that it's hard but it works, also maybe try a cover-up (if you use one) just a shade darker then the one your using, use natural blushes and eye shades, nothing that sticks out too much. Try it, I did and it helped.
But then again I am anemic so my skin is this way b/c of my health so you may want to consult your doctor

You'd fine ppl who like pale skin as well like me for example. So some criticise and some embrace it.
Basically, when someone criticizes your skin, smile and say that you like it and that no one asked them for their opinion or no one is actually asking them to like it.
