My 6 year old daughter suffers from eczema severely and we have tried that paticular product. Unfortunately, we had no such luck with it. Not even so much as an inkling of help. What i have found works is an oatmeal bath with some baking soda and eucerin cream and lots of it. Cleaning the skin follicles isn't going to help as with eczema you are dealing with dry skin. So exfoliating the skin isn't good. Try using ivory soap. It works wonders. If it is really bothersome hydrcortisone cream is awesome. If you suffer from it severly, like my daughter, you may need a steriod cream, like elidel. Good luck and i hope you can get some relief from the eczema.

Cortisone creams are the best single treatment, of various strengths. Although hydrocortisone 1% is non-prescription, and can be tried first, often prescription strength cortisone creams or ointments are needed. Be very careful not to apply these under your arms or in your groin or you may get stretch marks. And use them less often as your rash improves, alternating with moisturizing creams such as Cetaphil, and Cetaphil or Basis soaps are good for bathing. This is a chronic, inherited condition, but is not contagious, and often improves with age.

Best thing to do is ask the pediatrician but he or she will probably say to use cortisone cream from CVS, don't bathe the baby unless absolutely necessary, and don't use soap. Aveeno oatmeal bath should be used every time you bathe the baby.

Hydrocortisone cream works best for my niece, but if it's a baby I suggest you consult with a doctor.

Eucerin creme (in the white tub, not the bottle). Hands down - the best.
