In my view this is one of the key foundations for a good loving relationship. How important is it ? Do you practice it ?
Do you treat your boyfriend or girlfriend how you would like to be treated?

most people seem surprised when a question like this is asked but it is surprising how many people do not respect other people. sad but true. A lasting relationship depends on respect, honesty and love, without the basics, it is nothing more than a game...

You know why the bible says you shouldn't be unequally yoked?
Well religion aside it is very important to have mutual respect in a relationship. If you don't than someone will always feel superior to the other and that will get very annoying for both people.
Something that must be considered extremely well before you even enter into a commitment because unfortunately you can't change someone so you will either end up breaking up or feeling miserable.

It is very very important to have mutual respect in a good relationship because if you don't it's like one is the leader and the other the follower which is definitely wrong...respect comes in different ways right down to the basics...opinion being listened to...thinking about your partner in a decision that has to be made...etc...i did practise it and think that's one of the reasons my marriage broke down...he didn't and i did...so to your answer YES very important...(sorry for waffling on ha ha)

It is very important, treat people the way you want to be treated. Without mutual respect you might as well be with a blow up doll!

Very, it's be most important thing you can possibly have in a relationship, the next one would be sex, but that wasn't your question. Yes, I try to practice is as often as I can. I tend to slip up sometimes, but I try my hardest not to treat my girlfriend like crap. I love her very much, and I always want her to smile, so to answer your queston, yes I try very hard to treat my girlfriend the way I would like to be treat.
PS. I know the last sentence is a run off sentence, please don't kill me for it.

It is by far the most important thing in ANY relationship. Without respect you will never truly love, trust, or know that person.

Respect is crucial, a must-have! I absolutely practice respect - it's the only way to interact with anyone, especially the people I love the most.

VERY important. You start treating the other person as a sex slave/money tree/self powered dish washer/roomba etc really fast if you don't have a mutual respect thing going.

Respect is extremely important in any relationship. As well as honesty, trust, compromise and many, many other practices. Without them there is no relationship.
