Hi there! Since i'm not a beauty salon expert, what I would do, is take your dress in to your hair stylist when you get your hair done for homecoming, or a picture if you don't want to lug your dress in, and see if your stylist can come up with a design that can go with the dress. Stylists went to school for that kind of thing and I would trust them. My only suggestion would be to fancy up your hair with some of those velcro diamonds that you can put throughout your hair (if you've seen Phantom of the Opera, the opening song when she is on the stage you know what i'm talking about...something similar to those)...those would be so pretty. Just ask your stylist, she knows your hair and your personality. Good luck and have fun! =)

I would pull just a little up in the back & secure it with a diamond or fake studded barrette, then let a few pieces hang down the side, by your ears, lightly curl them with a curling iron. Have Fun!

Okay first of all do you watch One tree hill? if you do then wear it the way Brooke wore it to Haley & Nathan's wedding. it is very glam & sexy. If you don't then let me explain.
Pull your hair to one side, poof it up on the top and curl the rest loosely, like a nice wave. Have fun !

more expensive solutions:
getting highlights, cutting ur hair (layers, side bangs, whatever looks good on u)
practical solutions (more like casual though):
braids- 1 or 2, french braids (search how to french braid on Q search), side braid
ponytails- half, side, pigtails
buns- loose and messy
gel- scrunch it
iron- straighten it, curl it, crimp it (if its in in ur school only)
acessories- headbands, scarves, cute clips, cute bows, bandanas (headbands are in). play around with those!
hair part- part it on the side
here are some suggestions to get curly/wavy hair. i havent tried some of them, but i ve heard that they work-
curl with iron or rollers
put some hairspray in ur hair before going to bed and the tossing and moving will create random waves
braid ur hair and when u remove it there will be waves
put some defining product in ur hair and keep twirling it around ur finger. then, finger comb gently through to separate the waves
use sea salt spray or surf spray. sea salt will give really pretty beach waves
scruch it with gel
good luck!
