1. Yes, they can and will mate when your b*tch comes into season.

2. Because you'd basically be doubling up on identical genes, the probability of genetic problems from a breeding like this is very high. Blindness, deafness, developmental problems, eye problems, hip problems, skin problems -- if any of these things exist in your dogs' genetics (and they likely do to some degree, depending on the kind of dog we're discussing), this is the breeding that would produce them.

Spay and neuter them, and you won't have to worry about it.

They will 99% of the time come out retarded. Often times breeders do what they call line breeding where they in breed only when they cannot find a suitable mate ( up to breed standard) for their dog. However they DO NOT breed mom and son or brother and sister. It is usually done with father and daughter or niece or nephew etc. and only if they have little known defects and are as close to breed standard as humanly or ( doggly, lol ) possible. It is not one very often and should not be taken lightly. Would you want to have a baby wiith your brother?

The one thing you can be sure of when you're doing an inbreeding is that if a problem is not there, the pups can't get it and if the problem is there, even if recessive, the pups will have it. Therefore, someone who knows nothing whatsoever about genetics, or the backgrounds of their dogs going back 3 generations has no business at all even thinking about doing this breeding!

Get them fixed up. I agree with Matt - you obviously have no idea about breeding dogs so don't do it. There are many things that can go wrong with puppy birth and unless you know what you're doing, all the pups plus the mother could die.

Yes to part one of your question, and possibly to the other half of your question.

Lets put it this way they will mate and reproduce young. How retarded they will turn out depends a lot on your dogs you have now.

You should never breed a brother and sister. You can end up with many borth defects. Best thing is to have both fixed.

They will mate, and they do run a higher risk of congenital disorders and deformities. It is not a good idea. One or both need to be fixed if they are going to co-habitate.

yes they can and probably will mate if not fixed or kept separated. it's called back breeding or incest....there IS a chance that retardation or deformities could occur
