i work for a newspaper and we charge $5 per column inch on a pass paper size system...but it does vary widely, depending on the size of the paper (circulation wise) and the location and what not...just call the paper you want to advertise in and ask them to send you a rate sheet (which usually has sample ads) and a copy of the paper so that you can look it over...hope this helps...:)
btw, www.timesrecordonline.com if you want to check out our paper to get some examples

It depends on the paper and the section you are putting it in. Here we can run things 7 days for 17.00 but real estate is like $100 for 10 days. Call your local paper to get the right price. It is going to be different in a larger city vs small town.

A standard classified ad can usually be had for $10 or thereabouts in a large city. Smaller cities have lower and sometimes even higher rates. If you want something larger than a classified ad, it will be more - unless you call a reporter and ask about coverage for a community event - in which case it could be free. All it takes is a phone call to find out for sure.

It depends on the newspaper itself and their cost, and also on the ad size.
Your best bet would be to contact whatever paper you want your ad to run in, and consult with them regarding prices.

It depends on the type and size of the ad, which paper, and your location.
Call the newpaper. There are entirely too many options for anyone on here to tell you.
