I mean theyre Knighting rock stars now. Who cares anymore? Where are the miracles needed to be canonized? Have you heard of any?

No. Being knighted makes you something you were not before - a knight. Being canonized doesn't change a person's status at all. It is simply an official recognition by the Church that a particular person is already a saint. Canonization doesn't "make" someone a saint. Receiving salvation and entering heaven makes someone a saint. There are many millions of saints who are not canonized.

A "canon" is simply an official list. Canonization just means being placed on the official list of heavenly saints.

No it is not the same as being knighted. Much more involved and one is made a Saint for totally different reasons. One example of a miracle is the most recent example from Padre Pio's life where he is accredited with the gift of bi-location and because of this he interceded in the planned suicide death of a woman in the United States. At the time this was happening he was also in his Monastery in Italy.
