I know that this may just be the introduction to the book of Revelation, do you think there is any hidden meanings? Have you any insight to these (only 1:1-1:3) passages that you would like to share?

I want everyone's thoughts, please be respectful, I do care what you have to say, no matter the beliefs that you may or may not have.

Prologue
1The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. 3Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

I think that verse 3 is important in reminding us that there will be many who hear the voice of the Lord at the time of His second coming and so many who will not. We often think of the image of Christ coming on the clouds visible to all, and wonder how could all not see this? And so I think the truth is that “on the clouds” tells us His coming will be a mystery to the majority (revelation 14 talks about the remnant of believers…. And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.). For this reason, and because of the tribulation that will be taking place, those who hear the true message of Revelation will be greatly blessed. Not only because they will be redeemed, but also because they will have understanding that will bring them such great peace and hope during this time, as they look forward with great anticipation toward the coming of their Savior. I guess the best way to describe it would be two women that are pregnant…one does not know what is going on in her body (having no knowledge of what a pregnancy is). Thus along with her pain and suffering she is also concerned she is dying, confused, etc. The second woman knows she is having a child. And so while the pain still exists, she is filled with great hope and anticipation! Jesus said, “In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, because I have overcome the world!”

Also, it is interesting to me that John received this revelation on a place so isolated from the rest of the world, the island of Patmos....I think that too reveals in many ways how it will be for believers in the last days...

God Bless.

I'm not quite sure what sort of interpretation you are looking for from these verses, but I will try to help. The Book of Revelation can be confusing to the modern reader because much of it was written using a symbolic style of language that is not used today. Sincere Bible scholars, in fact, disagree about the meaning of some of the symbolic passages. But that should not keep us from reading it and understanding its main message.

The key for the reader is to try to see beyond the details to the main themes, which are tremendous truths. For example, the book of Revelation underlines the fact that this world is doomed, and our hope must never be in this world or its political systems and philosophies. It also points us to the great truth that some day God through Christ will triumph over death and evil, and Satan will be utterly defeated.

The Book of Revelation emphasizes that Christ will come again some day in great glory to establish His Kingdom of perfect justice and righteousness, "and he will reign for ever and ever" (Revelation 11:15). Some day those who know Christ will be secure forever in Heaven, and "there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away" (Revelation 21:4).

Most of all, the Book of Revelation (like all of the Bible) points us to Christ. He is the Savior and Lord of all who trust in Him, and some day we will see Him face to face. Are you ready for that day? You can be, by repenting of your sin and giving your life by faith to Christ today.

No hidden meanings

But it does disprove the trinity.

Jehovah gave the Revelation to Jesus, who in turn gave it to an angel, who gave it to John.

Who then bore witness to the words of God and of his Son.

Verse 3 pronounces you happy if you learned this important point.

verse 6, shows that Jesus is making Christians a Kingdom of priest to his God.

This was given 60 years after Jesus went to Heaven.

It's pretty clear that anyone can hear the words of the prophecy in the book. Not many will actually listen. The time comes for all when they die.

I would suggest investigating who wrote this and when. It didn't float down a cloud from heaven.
