Its going to take a while to see noticeable gains when you first start. It can be very frustrating but the first phase in a physical training program is the "toughening" phase where your body learns to process the waste that accumulates from exerting your muscles. So basically, you are going to just be very sore for several days after each workout. After several weeks (and this is where creatine is helpful) it will take less time for your body to recuperate from each session. So when you first lift, your arms or chest or whatever might be sore for 4-5 days, maybe even a week. Once the soreness is gone (or 5 days later, whichever is sooner) work that muscle group again. After about 3 weeks to a month you will only be sore for a day or 2 after a good workout. This is when you will get into the rapid improvement stage, when you will start seeing gains. So to answer your question, I would say 1-2 months before you will see noticeable gains. Dont worry about trying to lift heavier weights during this period, just focus on proper form and proper nutrition- LOTS AND LOTS of protein and water. Protein supplements are an absolute must, much more so than creatine. Try to gradually increase your calorie and protein intake, maybe by 10% more each 2 weeks, until your body responds. Hope this helps. Good luck and stick with it. The first month is always the toughest and most frustrating.

Initial results in the first couple of months, then slower process as you get more advanced.
You'll have to change you exercise rountine more often because your central nervous system needs stimulation after a while because it gets use to the same reps, rest inbetween sets, weights heavy or lighter and so it needs change every 3 weeks or so. But as a beginner you can probably do 6-8 weeks then change rountine.

You will be noticing muscles tightening up and really staying that way after 2 weeks. I hope you aren't working the same muscle groups every day? Remember your muscles need recovery time, this is when they actually get stronger. Remember to skip a day and work other muscle groups so this can happen.

You need more than 5 minutes per day. Try 20 minutes a day. You should see results in about 4 weeks if your consistent.
