i enjoy the cross because of hwta it represents. yes it is where christ died, but look at what his death on the cross brought us... unlike other religions that do not promote the cross, claim to be christians and have no cross in their "church"

Interesting...I haven't researched it independently, but I heard a pastor once say in a sermon that the cross was such a hated symbol of torture inflicted by the Romans, it did not become associated with Christ in a positive way until 600 years after the crucifixion. It is a little odd, like a gas chamber becoming a positive symbol to the Jews. When the brutality of the Roman Empire was a distant memory, people must have started to view the cross less as a symbol of torture and more in terms of the sacrifice Jesus deliberately made for our sins. Modern Christians are attracted to it because it has been a symbol of Christ to them for their entire lifetime. This is not bad and wrong, although what a difference 2000 years can make really IS odd.

The cross is a symbol referring to starvation. It's to remind people of what they are doing.

Don't worry so much about those things, just be spiritual in living. That means make a way of life for yourself out of the things you learn which your spirit feels are right and of Truth.

the cross reminds us of what Christ has done for us out of love so that we can once again commune with God the Father through Him. But I dont think it is right to throw it in someone's face or carry it, as this would just be like putting your faith in some symbol in stead of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus. We are just suppose to tell everyone about the Love Christ had for mankind.

"At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light, and the burden of my heart rolled away .... it was there by faith I received my sight and now I am happy all the day"

That's an old spiritual song, does that sound like hate?

Who told you these things? You should smack them with a rolled up newspaper quickly!

Dude, use your own brain for a change. If you don't speak the language, or can type it using the simple and effective CHECK SPELLING, don't type it at all.

Next, stop bashing someone else's belief's just because you don't share them. Learn to undertstand human beings.

Third. Where in the heck did you come up with the idea that people are supposed to hate it and destory it?!?

The cross is not supposed to remind us of the execution of our god moron, its supposed to remind us of the sacrifice of a mortal human being for the sins of the people.... duh. Read, research and learn before making moronic and assanine statements.

This is obviously an ignorant question. The cross is a glorious symbol. 99% of those who wear it know exactly what that symbol means to them. Too bad you don't.

The cross is a symbol of the sacrifice of the new covenant. Their whole religion is founded on what supposedly happened on that cross.

This is the first time I've ever heard this. It's symbolic of the fact that we all have crosses to bear.
