yes. Think about it, even if you lost a pound every day, you would have only lost about 120 pounds.

Dear, inspite of what some jerks think this is an awful problem, I know because I had, have & always will have this problem. 5Yrs ago I was over 250 Lbs. I'm in my 50's so the situation was not good for me. But I decided to tackle the problem. It was a slow process, 11/2yrs. to lose a 100lbs.There are no quick fixes but you can do it. Trip to the Dr. & the help of somebody who knows the correct way to do this thing. The bonus side of this I learned to eat better & that has kept the weight off. I feel so much better.

Not really, and not in any healthy way.
That's more than 1lb a day!
That's a 3500 kCal deficit every day. So, you'd essentially have to completely starve yourself AND exercise. However- this would put your body into a starvation mode and you'd actually use less calories.

1 or 2 lbs a week is more realistic. At 2 lbs a week, that's a calorie deficit of 1000 calories per day. Still quite a lot. You'd need to eat 1500 and burn off 2500, or somethign like that. Consistency is key.

Please don't try to lose that much weight so quickly. It's very unhealthy. They had an episode of Grey's Anatomy where a woman lost like 100 pounds over the course of a year and even that was too much weight to lose in that amount of time. Her heart walls were damaged. I heard somewhere that a safe amount is 1-2 pounds a week!

No, but if you want to be healthy it's not a good idea.

Losing weight that fast means you are starving yourself. Your body will resist and try to conserve fat and energy. You'll be lethargic, your skin will lose its resiliancy and tone, you'll lose muscle weight as well as fat. You will likely have dental problems.

Even people who get their stomachs stapled or have Bariatric surgery don't lose that much weight in 4 months. Optimal weight loss for continued health is 2-3 pounds a week.

Please see a doctor for advice.

no. all you have to do is live on about 500 calories a day and work out until you can't stand up!! sound fun? noo. plus it's not good for your body, and you'll probably get lots of stretch marks from rapid weight loss. however, you could maybe lose 75 and still live pretty healthily though.

If you get a surgery, nope definately not impossible.

If you do it naturally eating healtheir and excersing then yes your out of your mind. It can't happen. You have to give atleast 1 year for it to be safe!!
But I would suggest you sign up for FREE at www.sparkpeople.com . You can keep track of what you eat and how much you work out and theres thousands of people motivating eachother! It's a great site.

Good luck

Yea, and trying could literally kill you. 10 pounds a month is about what you could lose if you were very careful with what you ate and exercised alot...that's only 40 pounds-even if you could somehow DOUBLE that, it would only bring you to 80 pounds lost...so, who is it that you're trying to impress?

Don't think that's possible. It could also be very dangerous. You should research some safe weight-loss strategies and maybe even consult a doctor if you have that much weight to lose.

sounds like it. also very unhealthy. i bet you could do it, with an operation or something really drastic--even then it's an awful lot to try to lose in such a short time. definitely want to be careful and not hurt yourself (or whomever).
