If someone walks by, who looks like they might smell bad, you don't know if they do or not, but you hold your breath? Just asking because I do this, unintensionally and wondering if others do it?

I absolutely do this; you can usually tell too which is spooky.
I end up having to hold my nose the whole time in in Wal-Mart now... or, better yet, I don't go.
Unless there's a NASCAR race on, then Wal-Mart's empty.

oh yea.. at this one pharmacy i worked at over the summer, a lot of scroungy looking people would come in and i'd find myself not breathing through my nose the whole time they were at the counter, even though i didn't know if they smelled bad or not - i didn't want to find out, lol

How does someone have to "LOOK" for you to hold your breath? There are folks with a clean appearance who are nicely dressed that could curl your nose hairs with their B.O. and breath!

Why submit my senses to tourcher if there is a chance. And if the stink gets into to your senses anyway release a huge sigh and say shew loudly. Then maybe the stinky person will get the idea. One stinky person down, many more to go.

I do i feel bad when i do it but then i think do i really want to smell that funk... rather not take the chance

NO ONE holds their breath "unintentionally". Sounds like you have a pretty severe judgemental attitude that even you try to deny.
