There is the new thing out where privrate buisseness make there own p[risons and supply vans, officers and foods ETC....... but do you think its a good idea?? I think its great because it frees up the goverments jamed up prisons so this is great because these companys make money and they make a nicegreat prison!!!

These companies do not have to account to anyone for the way they treat the prisoners. That's fine to most people, until it's their son or daughter or great-uncle that can't get medical attention, or see their kids, or wind up in the medical unit with AIDS. People in prison are not all Bundys and Mansons.
A kid arrested for pot possession should not have to die in the first year of his incarceration, but if you're small or unable to fend off 12 rapists, guess what? You get to die a slow death in the med unit from a ruptured anus. I've seen it. The kid got four years, not a death sentence. His "Friends" turned him in to get lighter sentences, he was small, he's dead.
Or maybe you're a diabetic, and not real good at balancing your checkbook or doing your taxes on time. Sixty years old, with ten years to go. Do you think they care if you check your sugar, get your shots, lose your legs? Nah, you're scum, you're an inmate. Do you want to die outside the medical unit in a wheelchair because no one cares enough to walk three feet to check on you? I've seen it.
Privatization is pure crap, the ultimate con on the American public. Just like BOP, it doesn't rehabilitate, it doesn't make any difference. In any facility, the prisoner either rehabs himself, or learns a lot of new nasty tricks to try when he gets out. Prisons are warehouses to keep "Them" away from "Us."
You may not care now, but wait until someone you care about becomes one of "Them." In today's world, we're all only five minutes away from losing everything we've worked for.

if company prisons were allowed to put forward their own well thaught out systems, and was not told what to do by gov, who have obviously failed, one of the companies may come up with something that works. If it were me i would drop the word prison, prison means failure in more ways than one.If its going to be run by a bunch of thugs, who couldn't care less then they may not get the contract if the prisoner was allowed to study what was on offer, or the parents of the prisoner if they are youngsters, like one does with schools the better the better the school,,yer know
the trouble is they will need prisoners to keep their bussiness afloat, keeping the momentum going to keep breeding them, if people were cured ,no prisoners go bust.

Corrections Corporation of America and Wackenhut have been running privatized prisons for a LONG time in America. Mostly state and the federal government contract with them to run prisons to hold their inmates. There is very little difference between them and the actual government-owned ones.

Many earn money from business ventures in government like in the administration of prisons but it is good for the inmates.

They seem to work great, it is not really new they have had them for at least 10 years and I suspect alot longer.
The staff is normally lower paid, and there are some issues on human or legal rights in some

theres prisons shut down now ,why it became a thing to lock up people there are people locked up now that dont need to be there when you get money and credit for prisoners some people get greedy at the cost of others ,i know personally people there that dont needd to be there it cost there children there homes ect.....we need places to help people not lock them up

well dont forget they also use the prisoners as constituents that they represent when making district lines and figuring out budget issues and then deny these same constituents the right to vote after they have paid their debt to society

I think they are now constructing one to house all liberals. It is round so there are no sharp edges for them to hurt themselves.
