Does Jesus really care if you have sex with your Bf / Gf , if you still believe in him? It is really hard to wait til you get married. I don't worry about it, I am divorced, and have commited adultery by default, according to the bible. But just wondering.

Once your a Christian, your a Christian for life. As a Christian you will still sin many times, but the difference is we as Christians want to please God and try very hard to live life the right way, but we're not perfect and will make mistakes. The key is to come to God and ask him to forgive you and try harder next time. As far as adultery is concerned, don't fret most people have committed adultery since adultery is not as simple as it seems. Adultery is considered lustful thinking, as well as committing the actual act, so you are not alone. Don't be so hard on yourself, you'll be fine.

Does God care if we sin... DUHHH.. Gee you think? If you are trusting Jesus why would you turn to sin as a life style. If you love the girl marry her... I never could understand why people want to wait for a legal bond when they have already made the spiritual bond which is much more binding.. Thing is so many people people think that if a judge didn't say that you are now man and wife that you aren't married.. I'll tell you right now if you have taken a woman she is your wife. If you sleep around you are committing adultery. Sound like that is done and there is normally no way to make it right so give it to Christ and be sorry for it. He will forgive you... This time do it right. Remember a marriage is the picture of the relationship of the church to Christ so be true. Now go and be the christian man God is calling you to be... Jim

The Church teaches pre-marital sex is a sin. It's been a long time since I read the Bible or Jesus teachings, but I don't recall him ever saying pre-marital sex itself is a sin. He always spoke of sex for money or sex without love. The part about being divorced and committing adultery by being divorced is different. The Church his strict rules on divorce and anullment, so it would depend on if you first marriage was in a Church or not.

You are definetely not alone in your struggle. But yes, Jesus does care. Just imagine, he was beaten, spit on, whipped, torn, mocked, and crucified for all of our sins. That means that everytime you sin, including have sex out of marriage you are "technically" disregarding and ignoring everything that Christ has done for you. God hates sin and it won't go unpunished, or else he would not be a perfect God, and he would be corrupt.

Just like a judge here on earth. If you killed or raped someone, or even just stole 10 bucks, there must be a fine or punishment. You can ask the judge to forgive you and let you go, but he can't.

BUT, God does love you so much that he made a way for you to be set free, which I'm sure you are familar with. If you surrender your life to Jesus, and trust in him that he died for your sins and rose from the dead, then repent (make a deliberate effort to turn completely from all sin on a daily basis) and obey the Lord, YOU WILL BE SAVED. Read the Bible daily and obey what you read, and get involved with a good church that will encourage you.

In summary, yes it is very difficult to wait. But you can ask anyone, IT IS WORTH IT. God knew what he was doing when he came up with the rules and who are we to critique him?

Just ask yourself, do I love God or my sin more? And am I willing to gamble my soul on that answer?

Good luck in purity, I know personally how hard it is.

Grace and Peace...

You can be a christian and commit many sins, including non-marital sex. But the more you commit, the more natural (and spiritual, really) consequences you'll face. You really should wait until you're married.

Being a Christian isn't soley defined by whether or not you follow the rules. It is an identity based on beliefs and the sum of one's actions. Having sex outside of marriage does not automatically makes one "not a Christian." The person might not be a very good Christian, but it would based on more than that one aspect of his or her life.

Jesus cares because He plainly teaches that fornication is a sin, Gal 5:19-21.

yes Jesus cares, He wants us to wait and be sexually pure on our wedding day. However, that being said, Christians are far from perfect and do slip up. And yes they are still Christians, because they will be forgiven. And yes it's hard to wait until marriage but it's so worth the wait.

if i lie am i still a christian? if i eat shellfish am i still a christian? if i don't share wiht someone.....etc.....

you need to understand first that what you do or dont' do dosn't make you a christian or not. it's your faith in jesus and what he did.
ok, then, yes he cares. he wants what's best for you. he is perfection, and he wnats that for us. but we wont' ever be there, perfect. so we just go on doing the best we can and knowing that we have grace to cover the times we son't measure up.
