Nope...they'd send a cop car.

For the most part no. What they do is try to prepare for the worst possible scenario. I mean what if you passed out and couldn't speak? Or worse? Someone is holding you against your free will. They automatically trace the call, or at least thats the procedure that I'm aware of.

no those are high priority calls and they dispatch just about everyone to your house depending on where it is...in most cases it will be a police officer but in other places they will send police, fire, and EMS because they don't know what's going on..so you should only call 911 if you absolutely have to..

No. They have to send a car over just in case it was a home invasion or domestic disturbance

No. They'll try to ask questions for a few minutes, checking for prank calls. If they get no answer they may hang up/call back, and if no answer, they'll send somebody out to be sure nobody's hurt.

They ignored that kid somewhere in the USA whose mom passed out and couldn't talk. He told the disbatcher that and she told him to get off the phone. He called back later and he was told to knock off his antics again.FINALLY sent someone only to find the kid's mom had died.

As long as you keep the line open they can trace the call and send someone to your home to investigate.
