Yes I would take her simply because youre concerned. Since every child is different it might just take her alitte longer, but she'll come around.

I don't think there is cause for concern yet. Babies usually start sitting on their own at around six months, so she's not that far behind. Let her do things at her own pace, don't compare her to your son. Every child is different even if they're in the same family. As a matter of fact it seems that your son might end up being a little advanced for his age. Don't fret she'll sit up when she's ready.

No not at all its normal every baby is different. In fact I had the same problem My son started sitting up alone, crawling, walking, and talking at a early age and my daughter started sitting up when she was like 9 months and she is 1 year old now she dosnt talk or walk.I asked my doctor and told me every baby is different and develops different so no need to worrry. But if you are still concerned maybe you should ask your doctor.

Both of my kids really didn't sit up very well till they were 7-8 months, crawling at 9-10 months, walked at 13 or 14 months. Every baby is different.

Both of my kids were super coordinated in their toddler years. Rode 2-wheelers at age 4 (not the miniature bikes, the 20 inch bikes)

It's hard not to compare, ask your dr to be sure, but i say don't worry

does it seem like a problem to you? All children develop at a different rate. If she is healthy, don't worry about it. My son never even learned to crawl. He scooted on his belly like a snake til' he was almost 1yr old. Then one day he stood up and walked. As long as she is happy and healthy, you should be too. Don't worry, don't bother w/ a doctor, he'll probably tell you the same thing.

Do not try to guess at what could be wrong or right if you are worried about take the child to the Doctor. My son was starting to crawl at that age. If in doubt check it out.

I wouldn't worry about it. My daughter was almost 1year befor she started to sit up on her own. After that it was only about 2 weeks and she started crawling and walking all at once.

Yes. This is a developmental issue and your doctor should have been aware of it months ago.

Make an appointment today to see the baby's pediatrician as soon as possible.

Yes, take her in. It may be nothing but she may be lagging behind for some reason, and now-a-days so much is correctable. Please get her seen ASAP, and be firm with the doctors in your concerns. Do you go to regular well-child check-ups? When was her last visit? Has she had any other illness? Vaccinations?
