How about a red, white & black color scheme to sort of go with the casino themed colors (deck of cards, roulette wheel, etc)? Just a thought. Those are my colors for my wedding (but it's not a casino theme - I think that's a cool idea!)
If you (or your wife-to-be) want something a little "softer", maybe:
White, silver & purple
Cream, pink & brown
deep pink, light pink & Ivory
Light Blue, Dark Blue & White
Light Yellow & Lavander

For summer, you want to go BRIGHT! Bold!
Not pastels.
Try a bright (almost a hot) pink and a bright orange. The two shades together just make everything POP!
The bright pink is very fem, while the orange is a shade that screams summer. The flowers can be a beautiful mix of the two colors. Think out of the box.
It's an easy color to play up in decorations and invitations.
To stay with the theme, do a signature drink. Everyone seems to spend so much damn money on the booze, when really you don't need to.
Pick out one or two kinds of beer to have on tap. A few different wines and instead of an open bar, go with one mixer that is fun and fits the time of year. A pink Sangria (made with white wine, colored with a bit of pomegrante juice to add the pink and tons of fresh fruit soaking in it) would be perfect and it can be made well in advance by the gallon.
Garnish with thick slices of orange and a few pomegrante seeds.
You want your wedding photos to turn out beautiful? It's summer, go with color!

Why not pair her pale pink with another masculine colour like a plum or sage green? That way you can both be happy. July is a good time of year to do either soft colours or bright, vivid colours (but NOT clown like!). I think it also depends on the formal-ness of your wedding. If it is informal, you can do something like light blue and yellow, or green and yellow (pink would go with that, too) but not if it is at night. Then you are looking at things like blue and silver or pink and black... I was just in a wedding and the colours were black and cream, with hints of burgundy here and there, and it was beautiful. The bridesmaids dresses were black, but we all looked VERY classy.
It also depends on the skin colour of the people in the wedding party, too. You don't want to have everyone in fuschia if they are fair skinned with orange hair, right?
There is so much out there that you can do that will look very classy, or fresh and fun and complement everyone involved. There are bazillions of wedding websites out there - most notably The Knot (which I have no affiliation with) that will give you great ideas. There are also bushels of great wedding magazines that will give you ideas, too. Check out ones that have summer weddings, rather than winter ones.
If you really want to do this on your own, do some research and grab a few ideas - not just of colours themselves, but how they will be used (what the dress colours and flower colours will be, decorations, invitations etc) and then show your wife a few different ideas. Believe me, if she sees that you have gone to all that work and really put effort and thought into it, she will be BLOWN AWAY!! Ultimately, you two need to decide together and agree on what you are both comfortable with.
Good luck, and congratulations!!

Why do people tend to put more importance on wedding colours than the whole meaning of marriage ? Anyway I will attempt to answer your question. This depends on whether you want an ordinary run of the mill wedding or whether you want to be original. I wore an absolutely fantastic long, very fitted gold lace dress with a black underpetticoat,I had a superb but very expensive long gold scarf with long black fringes which was attached to my dress with the deepest red rose buds. Everyone, even the traditionalists said it was the most beautiful wedding dress they had ever seen. If you are having bridesmaids they would look good in red dresses. My answer to your colour scheme would therefore be gold, black and red. Have a great day.

Since she wanted pink you should do pink. There are many different shades of pink you could choose. Some are even manly. A dark brown is a good contrast to a pale pink. Remember that in weddings there are 2 genders getting together, there should be a color for each.

Wow, she flipped out because you didn't like the color? Is she normally like this, or is she just under a lot of stress? Or were you just a total jerk about it?
First of all go and ask your fiance what things need to have the "colors" so you can get an idea. If you can't ask her a simple question like that, then you have some serious problems.
Then think of what colors you like that you think she would like. Pastels seems to be most popular, but you can vary from that as long as it doesn't look too funky.

If you're going to have a casino theme, then try a light yellow and a light purple! you see those two colors in every casino, or a light green and a light blue as well! just close your eyes and imagine a casino and the colors you see in it! what ever ones stand out when you're imagining, use those two!! Best of luck to both of you and a happy life together!! hey are your guest gonna hand out money after you kiss the bride instead of throwing petals, or blowing bubbles? LOL! What a good idea!!
People His theme is casino!!

What about a darker shade of pink (more like a dusty rose) and work in some sage green?
Casino to me screams red, black, and white, but I personally wouldn't want those colors for a July wedding.

I think I would go for pale grey to go with the pink color of your wife's dress. I think that would look nice rather than a dark color for the summer. You can suggest another color that you like. EX; pale orchid color, pale lilac, or pale blue. Or suggest like Lisa Minelli had at her wedding...Red.
Smile.
Happy wedding in advance to you two.

With a casino theme, I would go with red and black, especially if it's an evening wedding. There are so many different ways to use both colors, and they are REALLY easy and fun to tie into that particular theme.
