I think the consensus of most professional historians is that Jesus did exist.

There are ambiguous indications in Roman records regarding John. I'd say inconclusive. He may have existed, or may have been an amalgam of several real figures. In a discussion of this, a Christian history buff here on Yahoo once claimed to me that there was a Roman census of occupied Palestine in which a Joseph, with wife Mary and son Yeshua, was listed, but he never provided me any reference. I do know for a fact that no other contemporaneous historically-verifiable record exists from any generally-known source. I would imagine that religious people with a historical axe to grind would have publicized it by now if they had one. It is extremely unlikely that any Jesus Christ ever lived at all. .

You have false information....Jesus existed...through historical records of the time...the town of Nazareth also exist(Nazareth (Arabic الناصرة an-Nāṣirah; Hebrew נָצְרַת, Standard Hebrew Naẓərat, Tiberian Hebrew Nāṣəraṯ) is an ancient town in the North District in Israel. In the New Testament, it is described as the childhood home of Jesus, and is a center of Christian pilgrimage, with many shrines commemorating biblical associations). Today Nazareth has a population of about 60000.
A person who does not say much leaves people wondering what he really knows....when he opens his mouth and speaks the world knows and has no doubts. Make sure you know what you are saying is factual before you say it

What was the point of having Diciples if the Leader (Jesus) didn't exist? Followers of who???
This Diciples were to take the "W O R D" among civilizations. Not written scripts that Jesus gave them... If they decided to write them down to leave a trace, blessed they are...
I'm extremely Catholic and my point of view is based on FAITH!
