It varies!
They can start coming through from the teens but may not appear until your 20's. Some people dont even realise they have them coz they come throught so easily. Others have probs coz there is no enuf room for them to come through.
It is impossible to generalise.

My wisdom teeth didn't cause me a lot of problems when they did appear, but because my teeth were overcrowded I had 4 perfectly healthy teeth removed to make way for them, which wasn't pleasant. My wisdom teeth came through on the bottom set a couple of years later when I was about 16, and the other 2 came through a year or so after that. I can't remember them really hurting, but if I hadn't had the others removed first I might have had terrible problems.

Wisdom teeth can start coming through from the ages of 18-25, they dont normally cause to many problems unless you get an infection which is called periocoronitis, and this usually accurs when the tooth starts erupting and you have a falp of gum around the tooth which likes to collect food debris, as the wisdom teeth are quite hard to clean, normally washing out with warm salty water and taking an anti imflammatry tablet helps.
The wisdom teeth which are the most difficult to remove are the lowers as they are very close to the posterior dental nerve and can cause damage to them during extraction.

It's different for everyone. Some have no problems, doesn't hurt at all, some it does hurt. And it's usually up to the dentist advice of whether they come out or not. The age's vary, my friend was 16 when she had her's removed but I've known people in their 20's that have had them removed. I'm 23 and I still have my wisdom teeth.

It all depends, I am 23 and only my bottom set are through but even they still haven't come through completely, a friend of mine who is 21 is having the same prob. The worst part with it is that food keeps getting stuck down them which is gross! The pain isn't too bad really.

I've had mine since I was 17 - most people don't have all 4 until they're 25 or so.

They're uncomfortable, but not horribly painful. (It's like a headache - take a little Motrin or something.) It does hurt when food gets caught behind them or they get impacted - that's why it's a good idea to have them taken out before you're 30.

Mine started coming through when I was 17. And they really really really hurt. It is like a throbbing sore pain. I had to have 3 taken out. And have stitches over the hole. The other one has been trying to come through for 4 years. Sorry to scare you.......
