They are racist and dont want to accept their own paisanos! They call them anchor babies and say that we should deport them. They are disgraces to the American people, we should ALL accept our fellow countrymen, expecially innocent babies!

Seriously, you all need to get over this crap. I was born here. My parents came from Mexico at a very young age. I am educated, I work really hard and I extremely sick of all those ignorant people that talk and talk without the facts. Most of you just repeat what others say.... How dumb does that make you? You all keep talking about your tax money paying for all these Mexicans education and hospital bills... Did you know that if you are not a resident and you want to continue your education, you must pay cash!??? SO please, enlighten me on how YOU are paying for the education of illegals! So does this mean you are going to sit here and complain about your tax money being used the wrong way? Doesn't your tax money pay the salary of all those crooked cops, or the teacher that molests their student?
Two Illegals don't make a legal? I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life! Thank GOD for all you ignorant people out there! Very amusing! If any adult is complaining about ANY child, it makes you sick. Karma sucks, I just hope that when you all have kids, or those that have them already, you can protect them and keep them from harm. People are evil and you would only hope your child doesn't go through life feeling unloved and unwanted. It doesn't matter whether you are an american citizen or not, a child is a child is a child.

Because a lot of the reason they have them is so that the people will feel sorry for them and let them stay here with their children and people who are against Illegal aliens FOR THE LAST TIME are not all RACIST yes some are but not all okay so grow up and stop trying to undermine criminals by changing the subject around to make it seem like Americans are the criminals. Plus more goes having to gain spanish speaking teachers and classes for these Illegal children so think about it and stop watching the rallies on TV calling people racists when they have no idea of its true meaning.

60 Percent Huh ?

Whos @$$ Did You Pull That Statistic Out Of ?

According to estimates,
some 300,000 so-called anchor babies
are born in the United States every year.

The key to undoing
the current misinterpretation of the Fourteenth Amendment
is this odd phrase

"AND SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION THEREOF."

The whole problem is caused by the fact
that the meaning of this phrase,
which was clear to anyone versed in legal language in 1868,
has slipped with changes in usage.
Fortunately,
there is a large group of court precedents
that make clear what the phrase actually means:

The Fourteenth Amendment EXCLUDES the children of aliens.
(The Slaughterhouse Cases (83 U.S. 36 (1873))

The Fourteenth Amendment draws a distinction
between the children of aliens and children of citizens.
(Minor v. Happersett (88 U.S. 162 (1874))

The phrase "subject to the jurisdiction"
REQUIRES "direct and immediate allegiance"
to the United States, not just physical presence.
(Elk v. Wilkins 112 U.S. 94 (1884))

There is no automatic birthright citizenship in a particular case.
(Wong Kim Ark Case, 169 U.S. 649 (1898))

The Supreme Court has never confirmed birthright citizenship
for the children of illegal aliens, temporary workers, and tourists.
(Plyler v. Doe, 457 U.S. 202, 211 n.10 (1982))

There are other cases referring to minor details of the question.

A group of attorneys and immigration experts
is trying to do something about the problem RIGHT NOW

Why do traitors call patriots racist? Do you think it's the perfect word to deflect attention from your admiration for illegal invaders? Do you know how many of us 'racists' have dearly loved family members of different races? Again, this topic has nothing to do with racism except as an excuse for those without good reasons. When you are robbed by someone of a different race than you don't call the police because that would make you a racist according to your own logic.

Do you also call black and hispanic Americans racist if they are against illegal immigration? What about Asian Americans? It's not just a small group of white bigots who are against being flooded by illegals. We are all feeling the financial pressure of this situation, and we also know it's wrong for people to jump ahead in line and scream racism if we object. Do you realize that the only thing making this seem like a racial issue is the fact that MILLIONS of hispanics are here illegally? Yet they are the ones that did something illegal and now they blame us for not wanting as many of them as will come. That does not make me or anybody else a racist, it means we are realists.

Do you also not understand that for every anchor baby there are two illegals being put ahead of the line for citizenship? That is a shameless way to use a child. I don't hate the kids at all, but I do object to them being used this way. Why don't you?

I guess it's because some Americans think that our government is paying for those babies-and that the parents did NOT come here legally. They just crossed the border in time to have their baby so it could be an American and get free medical care to boot.. Two wrongs can't make a right....
If our government can't afford to help our elderly senior citizens (whose parents were either born here-or came here LEGALLY)-with their medical bills-why should we pay for undocumented workers' babies?????
There is a right way and a wrong way to do everything. How can we expect someone to be a law abiding citizen if they broke the law to get here?????????????????

If they are American Citizens, they are not 'undocumented'.

If their parents are, than they SHOULDN'T have been born here.

The Supreme Court reserved for later decision the question of whether someone born here to parents who were illegally here would be a citizen. I leave the question to them.

Why should they be entitled to benfits for their children?
Many of them have sex in their country of origin and fall pregnant, then come here and live off the welfare,
I am not racist for having an opinion,
You know why most of them are American citizens, Because they are born here that is the only reason.

Why is it one is labeled racist if one doesn't want illegals to flood our country?

Those children of illegal aliens shouldn't be here in the first place. But, given our policies they are automatically citizens. Now they are all screwed because the kids can stay but the parents may get deported.
