I want to dedicate my Master Thesis to my parents, But I wonder if using this sentence is grammatically true!

To my parents, who dedicated their lives to teaching and who taught me - their son - so well, eternally ...

It's pretty close, but the "of mine" doesn't seem quite right.
I recommend: "To my parents, who have retired from the teaching profession but remain my eternal teachers."
And I think it's very nice to dedicate your thesis to your parents.
