Ask your pediatrician. If he thinks their use is warranted, he will tell you when and how often. Don't get hung up because you think there's "Something wrong". If there is a problem, your doctor will help you deal with it.
Remember, the pediatrician went to college for 10 years or more to learn all this. Who would you rather believe, someone who has studied medicine, has practiced medicine, is licensed to practice medicine, and is probably pretty good at it, or someone who has internet access, a few minutes free time, and an opinion?

I had this problem with my son..... the part of this that gets you where you think you need the glycerin suoositories is that they work with in a few minutes or an hour... vs the prune juice or kayro suyrp take i would say a day... however they do work... i use to be tempted to use the supositories more than was advised... the prune juice is probally way too strong for her tummy at such a young age so i would count that out for now...t hey kayro syrup should be ok, and it does work. The thermomoter thing only works sometime.
I would say use the supositories as directed because the babys body get dependent on them to be able to go to the bathroom.
I also can tell you that to get rid of some of the gas this was a life saver for me ( both my twins got colic and one very very gassy)
you can put the baby on her back and do her legs like riding a bike.. just back and forth towards her tummy... this pushes the gas out.. it works like a miracle...it does hurt their little tummy a little at first but their tummy is hurting anyways from the gas, do this for about 5 minutes or untill they pass some of the gas pressure and they will feel much better, this was recomended by my dr. the colic drops and gas drops didnt work a bit my dr told me dont even bother paying for them.

My son had the same problem and the doc said to use supositories and then I told him that I had to use them on a daily basis because they would only work once so then the doc perscibed some medicine and he goes great now! He is much happier and not so gassy anymore. You should definantly tell your doc that you are having to use them on a daily basis and he will probably perscibe some clear liquid non tasting medicine to just put in the babies bottle.

Don't use them every other day, that is too often.
If your baby is not constipated, as the doctor said (constipation is the passing of hard, painful stool), then I would not worry too much, especially if you are nursing your baby. Breast-fed babies typically go several days between dirty diapers.
If you are bottle feeding and your baby is obviously distressed when trying to pass stool, then try giving baby some extra water, into which some syrup has been added, diluted fruit juice, or ask your pharmacist for advice.
Good Luck!

My guess is that you are not nursing (because the baby would have 3-10 a day!)
My suggestion is 1) try another formula
2) try another Dr.
something isn't right when those diapers aren't filling up
don't let it go too long because at that young age, the baby's digestive system needs help, not suppositories

You certainly can't rely on these in the long term - so adjust the formula certainly, and see the doctor again if this problem lasts for weeks. But in the short term, if they're the only thing that'll help her do the do, keep giving them!

I would try the rectum stimulation some more first-
I got a q-tip and covered it with Vaseline and would massage down there and my baby eventually went.
Or put a tablespoon of dark karo syrup in her bottle...

Did you graduate as a doctor, if not you should follow your doctor's advice and not use suppositories routinely on your daughter. You will only compound her problem and she will not have her rectal muscle develop properly. Why would you trust our input over your own family doctor?

I would give her grape juice or prune juice, mix it with water so it won't be so strong. I don't know about suppositories I wouldn't want anyone sticking those things in me!!!
