Men DO know about jewlery. And men also know that no matter what WE pick-out isn't big enough or what you wanted. I stopped buying jewlery 25 years ago for my wife, saved me the heartache and hassle. You want it, go get it, and don't forget to sign my name at the bottom of the card that you bought from me. Also don't forget the XXXX & OOOO. (I payed how much?)

I don't like my husband to buy me jewelry & he knows that, so he doesn't. The reason I don't like it is because I don't wear it so I feel it is a waste of money. I do HAVE some jewelry, but just the basics.
my wedding ring - platinum band channel set with (5) .40 ct. Princess Cut diamonds
a pair of 1ct. Princess Cut studs & matching pendant (platinum)
Platinum Mother's ring
there are a few bracelets, necklaces & other plain yellow or white gold earrings, but that's it.
I don't think it's weird. I wonder why you feel it is weird & why you would expect a boyfriend to buy you jewelry...

Maybe he is afraid to spend the money not knowing your taste in jewelery and then you might not wear it as that would be money wasted. If you go along to a store sometime show him what you'd like and then wait to see if you get it. If you don't get it...then consider him not that genuinely interested in you as a girlfriend and re-evaluate the relationship.

jewlery are for the women to wear, guy has no use or we can touch it anyway. so since jewlery isn't an a choice, go for clothes

Girl, be glad he buys you something. I have been w/ my bf for a year and a half and he has yet to buy me something. I'm sorry I made your issue about me. But, I'm mad as hell about it.
