So my girl friend and I split rent. Well I pay 570 and she pays 150. Anyway she just called me like 2 seconds ago and said the apartments "lost" her money order and they only have mine for the 570. She gets her money order thru western union is there a way she can go to her work, where she gets her western union money order, and print off something confirming she made a purchase for the money order? or how should we go about this?

I have not personally sent anything Western Union, but I have seen people do it. The information is in a computer & she should have received a receipt for the transaction. I would think there is a tracking number or something attached to the transactions as well. Have her read the fine print on the receipt she was given. I would guess that there is a number or website or something that she could use to track her money order.....

Money orders come with a reciept of purchase attached to it. Hopefully she pulled this off and kept it. Of not there is a slight possibility that the seller kept a log of purchases, especially if she remembers them asking her last name. Now if she works there have her t ask the owner if he recieves a monthly report of his sales from Western Union. If all of these fail then you are probably out of luck.
Sorry

It is simple pay or don't pay and get out as a landlord and I have had this so many times have her go to the place were she purchased her money order and ask for a receipt then you can either resubmit by using that receipt or request that it is canceled and reissued. The sad thing is this she will have to pay it now and work it out to get hers back.
