They're genetic. In fact, it's a dominant trait. A dimple is caused by having shorter muscles in certain areas of the face.
And, yes, they look great! âº

I have some really deep dimples but they were given to me by genetics.

a friend of mine, a doctor once told me that dimple actually is an abnormality ... it cannot really remember the explanation but hey for some that abnormality is a plus even clef chin is an ablormality elvis presley has clef chin and it looks good on him .. why do you have dimples?

Its common scense! I have dimples and I don't think there is anything cute about them. Well..I have..3 and I was born with them. So if you really wanted them.....you should have been born with them. Then again we don't choose our parents!(LOL) So....you have to be born with them.

You're born with them. There's no facial exercise or anything you can do to get them. Well, I suppose if you want them bad enough you may be able to find a surgeon out there to make you some...I wouldn't suggest that though.

When you get old & your teeth fall out, you start to get dimples, though there more like dents & big creases.

my older brother threw a tonka truck at me when i was little and left a bad bruise. my mother says left me with one dimple on my right cheek.
