from smoking weed like only once or twice a week?

Weed doesn't have nearly as much tar and manufacturer-added chemicals as tobacco does, and so it's link to lung cancer is much lower than with tobacco. However, anytime you pull smoke into your lungs you risk damage -- it's just not as bad as with tobacco.
As far as reliable studies go, weed isn't directly linked to any other cancers. There have been some studies that link it to some brain disorders, though those were usually with very high doses. One verified side effect is only in men -- it can cause your breasts to enlarge and even produce milk...but again, at fairly high doses.

Any time you smoke anything, you are causing damage to the tissue in your airway and lungs. Your lung tissue is pretty fragile and any type of inhaled irritant (smoke, chemicals, fine particles) no matter how natural are going to damage that tissue on some level. Even just once or twice a week, over time, is going to cause some damage, and that damage puts you at a higher risk to develop lung cancer. There may be some useful info at the American Cancer Society website, or some good links to help you learn more.

Just remember, cancer is not the only thing that can kill you. Ever hear of Emphysema? That being said.... none of us can live in a bubble... but be sure you understand the risks you take.

think about how 'natural' it is to inhale some smoke,no matter where it comes from..
...
you thought about it...well it isent 'natural'..
so how healthy would it be then..
...
besides in my humble opinion it mayby not as bad as smoking tobacco, from wich you prolly would get cancer.
but smoking marihuana or inhaling tetrahydrocannabinol is very bad for your nerves system.
so choose your poison..
greetings
