We had a littler 5 months in the past. right this is what we did and had 9 nicely socialized loving puppies. Vets have been surprised. Love mom for the stunning excitement she has introduced. enable her comprehend how dazzling she is and revel interior the limited on my own time along with her. placed her on a solid, organic great breed doggy food which comprise Framm. It does wonders for her throughout being and is a huge food for the puppies. it fairly is incredibly digestible and tolerated nicely. ensure that each physique are nursing nicely. At a pair of week to ten days, mom will end cleansing up, start up the paper practise technique interior the whelping container. Have the doggies vetted as quickly as available. it incredibly is going to ensure no substantial subjects, get the dewclaws bumped off and that they'll then inform you the shot, worming and different schedules. take excitement in the subsequent 10 weeks of exhaustion and promise to no longer do it back :) doggies are somewhat some artwork in case you like solid dogs. It starts with YOU. solid success playstation Dad can look from a guarded distance, yet do no longer touch. mom is going to guard.

Rotties are known for docked tails because they were used by butchers to pull meat carts and the tail would get in the way. Tails & dew claws should be removed within the FIRST 3 DAYS. It can be a little spendy, but worth it if you are going for the true Rottie look. Natural tails are perfectly acceptable, as European dog breeders are leaving dog natural these days. If the pups will be registered with AKC, and any owners intend to show then get that tail docked! Don't attempt to do it yourself. I would only encourage an experienced breeder to do so. Remember dogs like Rotties with tails can leave bruises on your legs when happy. My sister is a vet and she chooses not to provide services of cosmetic orientation, call a different vet, it is a moral thing and a personal choice to provide that service.
Legal yes, in some states that start with "NEW" it is not practiced and percieved as illegal, if you did it yourself, you would not get in trouble.
One more thing, it is no different than a baby boy being circumsized, it is painful but it passes in a pinch, I am not trying to be funny I have assisted with many dockings.

There's no reason for those puppies to have their tails docked. Why not leave them alone? And yes, the methods are barbaric.

I believe it is banned in the UK, but working dogs are exempt.
And most definitely you mustn't do it yourself!! There is a Rottie up the road to where I live and he looks great with a tail.

It is legal, but cruel. If he has it done, it should be done around 3-4 days old. I would NOT do it myself.

it's done mostly for cosmetic reasons & i believe it's legal; whether the vet wants to do it or not is up to them. if he does do it himself, then i'd think i'd want another friend. if he's willing to do that to an innocent animal, who knows what else he's capable of?

If your friend is so IGNORANT of the BASICS,why on earth is he so STUPID as to done a breeding at ALL???
Tails MUST be docked w/in 3 -5 DAYS of whelping!!!Same time the dewclaws are REMOVED!!!
Talk to his bitc-h's BREEDER!! Contact the stud-dog's owner!!!Call *ALL* the vets in the area, find one that **KNOWS** what they're doing & DO IT!!!
***DON'T*** bother asking the morons HERE!! They don't know which end bites!
